Services we offer
Our main role is to provide surgery using local anaesthetic. This means you stay awake, but the area being treated is numbed.
We also offer other treatments, including:
- Cortisone injections
These help to reduce pain and swelling. - Immobilisation treatments
This may include a cast or splint to keep your foot still while it heals. - Physical therapy
Exercises to help improve movement and strength. - Foot health advice
Information on how to care for your feet and reduce pain.
Working with other teams
We work closely with the Musculoskeletal Podiatry Team.
They can provide custom made shoe inserts, also called foot orthoses.
These are designed to support your feet and improve comfort when walking.
Conditions we commonly treat
We treat a wide range of foot problems, including:
- Bunions
- Stiffness in the big toe
- Claw toes or hammer toes
- Trapped nerves
- Pain in the ball of the foot
- Lumps and bumps in the soft tissue
- Arthritis caused by wear and tear
- Tendon problems
- Skin conditions
