We understand that you or the person you care for may need help and support as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there can sometimes be a wait for an appointment with a mental health professional or for a transfer to another service.
While this waiting period can be challenging, there are steps you can take to support yourself in the meantime. The information below provides some suggestions to help you manage during this time.

Our Trust appreciates and supports all of our carers, families and friends who support you. Visit the Support for Carers page and you will find information on how we can support you, along with access to carer support packs.
There are organisations around for you to access support, find out information and get advice. These include Tuvida and the Carers Federation. These are external from the Trust and offer further support should you require it.
If you are a carer and would like support, then please speak to a member of staff.
