Children’s Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy

The service provides Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy assessment and treatment for children and young people who have a disability or long term health condition affecting their movement, co-ordination or ability to engage in activities of daily living.

We provide therapy and equipment programs to help meet the child /young person's needs and work closely with parents and carers and other services involved with the child to provide effective care.

We may help with the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process when needed. This can include assessments and annual reviews for children and young people.  six children including two in wheel chairs

We work with families and other services to help create and review EHCPs. We focus on:  

  • what the child or young person wants to achieve
  • the outcomes they would like to reach
  • the support they need to meet their needs
