Community Training Team
What we do
The Training Team provides training and support to a range of agencies caring for children and young people who have additional health care needs within the community.
Our service is available for all children and young people registered with a GP in Nottingham City or Nottinghamshire County.
We recognise that our children and young people already have excellent care packages in place, and aim to work alongside the community nursing team and other agencies, such as specialist nurses and therapy teams, to enhance this.
Our aim is to to ensure that children and young people with additional healthcare needs receive safe and effective care, wherever they are.
Who we are
The team consists of registered paediatric and learning disability nurses who have a range of experience caring for children and young people within hospital and community settings.
We are part of the Community Children and Young People’s Service.
