Silver Birch Ward

Acitivities suggestion board - bubble bath, crossword, art work, jigsaw puzzle Silver Birch is a 20 bedded assessment ward. It is available for people aged 65+ with a diagnosis of dementia or challenging behaviour.

The service is also available to anyone over 18 with a mental health condition due to a medical or physical disease (rather than a psychiatric illness).


Accessing our services

Access to the ward is via referral from the community mental health teams.

Referral has to be agreed by a consultant within the Mental Health Service for Older People (MHSOP).
