Redwood 1 Ward (Male)

We provide inpatient care for men experiencing an acute crisis relating to their mental health who cannot be supported in their own home.

Our service focuses on assessment of need, treatment and recovery. We place the service user at the centre of their care planning.

Care is provided by a wide range of professionals including:

  • doctors
  • nurses
  • occupational therapists
  • psychologists
  • support workers

Our service is for men aged between 18 - 65. Those over 65 who have already been accessing mental health services may also be referred.

Accessing our services

Admissions to Redwood 1 Ward are agreed by the bed manager working within the crisis team within the city or county south locality and are facilitated if felt to be the most safe and effective way to deliver care.
