Only visit your local Emergency Department for serious life-threatening conditions that need immediate medical attention including persistent severe chest pain, loss of consciousness, acute confused state, severe breathlessness, severe blood loss, serious burns or suspected stroke.
We provide inpatient care for women experiencing an acute mental health crisis who cannot be supported in their own home.
The service focuses on assessment of need, treatment, and recovery and places the service user at the centre of care planning.
Care is provided by a wide range of professionals, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, and support workers.
The service is for women aged between 18 - 65 and patients over 65 who have already been accessing mental health services may also be referred.
Admissions to Rowan 2 Ward are agreed by the bed manager working in the crisis team in the city or county south. Patients will be admitted if our ward is felt to be the most safe and effective way to care for them.
