Care Plan Support

Our informative e-learning (Moodle) course provides guidance and recommendations aimed at supporting services in writing a robust service-specific care plan.

Unlike our other Moodle courses, this course has no test at the end to check understanding. The course focuses on providing subject-specific information which Users can 'dip' in and out of when needed.

Our easy-to-follow examples provide clear suggestions regarding content and format of the care plan and gives helpful links for a variety of health subjects.

The course covers the following subjects:

  • Allergy (including Auto Adrenaline Injectors)
  • Asthma
  • Dystonia
  • Epilepsy (including buccal Midazolam and Vagal Nerve Stimulation)
  • Enteral Feeding (including gastrostomy, jejunal, nasogastric and nasojejunal routes)
  • Medication
  • Oral Suctioning
  • Oxygen Administration
  • Tracheostomy

The course contains basic generic guidance regarding what to include for each subject area. We would always recommend you contact parents/carers and/or specialist teams for additional support and child specific details when creating a care plan.
