These networks are for those who are new to being a Language Lead or who are developing confidence in the role. It’s the best place to start to get established as a Language Lead!
We recommend that you attend only one of the ‘new to the role’ sessions per term until you have attended all 3, i.e. if you are new to being a language lead you would come to session 1 this term, session 2 next term etc. This is because each session contains lots of new information as well as some reminders, and there will be actions to complete following each session.
Session 1: Wednesday 6 July 9:00-10:30am
This session focuses on: how to get started as a Language Lead and the setting environment.
Session 2: Wednesday 6 July 11:00–12:30pm
This session focuses on: staff development and working with parents.
Session 3: Wednesday 6 July 1:30-3:00pm
This session focuses on: planning & practice, tracking children, and liaising with others.
